The project has developed along two main directions, united by the goal of understanding how organizations can innovate their welfare systems and human resource management practices, enhancing engagement, well-being, and diversity.

The first line of research focused on organizational innovation in the healthcare sector, with particular attention to the role that Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) play in promoting Value-Based Healthcare.

The second line of research aims to explore how organizations — across different sectors and sizes — are rethinking welfare in an inclusive way, with a focus on developing neuroinclusion practices designed to reduce systemic barriers that prevent the full recognition and empowerment of neurodivergent employees in the workplace.

As part of the project’s development activities, a study in collaboration with AON is also planned, aimed at analyzing the evolution of corporate welfare and wellness practices in Italy. The study, based on proprietary data provided by the partner company, will allow for a mapping of the diffusion, usage, and coverage of welfare and well-being packages across companies in different sectors. By comparing data collected over two years (2023 vs. 2024), the research will identify emerging trends, innovations, and areas for improvement. Although distinct from the two main research lines, this study represents a complementary next step, intended to broaden the perspective on the strategic repositioning of corporate welfare in an inclusive and sustainable way.

Finally, the survey on neuroinclusion, addressed to managers, is currently being disseminated across Italy (October 2025), with the support of Specialisterne. Following the quantitative analysis, a qualitative study will be conducted through focus groups, aimed at deepening the findings and identifying effective practices and strategies to foster a truly inclusive organizational culture.
